Chance Ain’t Counting The Daze

Snap your needle to the grooves this week and race to the finish line with Lightfield by Gregor Ladenhauf (Zanshin). This energetic pulsing soundtrack to the futuristic parkour style racer by Lost in the Garden will bounce your needle back and forth from track to track in a mesmerizing trance. Pressed on white vinyl by Minimum Records, Lightfield is truly a treat to the senses. Floating through time and space in zero gravity at the speed of light has never felt better than in the palm of your hands, as well as in the chambers of your ears. What has been created here is, in all accounts, a true piece of art!

Cleaver Clearance

Zanshin draws you in with a pulsing trance of noise and pulses that just envelop you in a bath of light and drones that’ll make you groove. Resembling work from Baiyon on games such as PixelJunk Eden, this soundtrack blows you back at the speed of light with its hypnotic beats and rhythmic vocalizations. The clever repetitious movements make this a great album to relax to. Zanshin’s greatest strength on this album is his ability to switch between pulsing drones with seismic bass, to melodic passes that gently guide you, all within the blink of an eye.

Haemlin Hoop

This release from Minimum Records is absolutely stunning. From the gorgeous artwork by Anouvong Southiphong, to the incredible in-house mastering, this 2xLP set does not disappoint one bit. The crisp, white gatefold mirrors, the impeccable white discs carefully housed inside… this has to be one of the most artistically driven pieces in my collection! The care and attention to detail is apparent on every inch of this release. Most notably, the sterility of the packaging: crisp, clean, and overall aesthetically pleasing.

With this being Minimum Records second vinyl release, they sure are leaving a trail for everyone to follow. Personally, I can’t wait to see what else they come out with. Keep an eye out on this label and nab every release you can — I have a feeling we are in for a true treat with future releases!
